چکیده

Delineating hydrothermal alteration and supergene caps is fundamental for mineral exploration of sulfide ores. The aim this study to apply a multi-scale workflow based on hyperspectral remote proximal sensing data in order delineate dolomitization associated with the Mississippi Valley-Type Zn-Pb(-Ag) deposit Jabali (Western Yemen). area was investigated through images derived from new launched Italian Space Agency’s PRISMA satellite, which has higher spectral resolution compared multispectral sensors covers mineral-diagnostic wavelength regions (such as 2100 nm 2300 range) Signal Noise Ratio (SNR) ? 100. Spectral maps were produced band ratios method using specific feature extraction indices applied satellite data. results validated by Visible Near InfraRed (VNIR) Short Wave (SWIR) reflectance spectra, mineralogical (XRPD) geochemical (ICP-ES/MS) analyses rock samples collected area. dolomites footprint mapped Level 2C image, enhancing differences between limestones SWIR-2 region (major features centered at 2340 2320 nm, respectively). Gossans detected due Fe3+ absorption VNIR 900 nm. Zn-Pb mineralized area, extended approximately 25 km2, thus identified recognizing gossan occurrences dolomites. demonstrates that effective identifying outcrops sedimentary basins.

Stable isotope geochemistry of carbonate minerals in supergene oxidation zones of Zn–Pb deposits

The O/O and C/C ratios of carbonate minerals formed by supergene oxidation of Zn–Pb deposits and submarine alteration of ancient slags were studied in order to constrain isotope fractionation factors for smithsonite, cerussite, and phosgenite, and to characterize conditions of nonsulfide ore formation. We present new isotope data of carbonate-hosted ores from the Iglesiente district (Sardinia, ...

Geochemistry of Hydrothermal Alteration Associated with Cenozoic Intrusion-Hosted Cu-Pb-Zn Mineralization at Tavsanlı Area, Kütahya, NW Turkey

The Miocene magmatic intrusion in the Tavşanlı zone of the Kütahya-Bolkardağ Belt (KBB) in the northwestern region of Turkey is represented by the Eğrigöz granitoids. This paper studies the petrology and geochemistry of hydrothermal alterations associated with the vein-type Cu-Pb-Zn mineralization hosted by this pluton, focusing on the determination of the mass gains and losses of chemical comp...

کانی‌شناسی و زمین‌شیمی دگرسانی‌های گرمابی در رخداد یارالوجه، (شمال‌غرب اهر-آذربایجان‌شرقی)

The Yaralujeh vein index is located about 40 km NW of Ahar, East Azarbaijan. The host rock of mineralized vein is an altered subvolcanic body, intermediate in composition. The mineralization of sphalerite-galen-chlcopyrite recognized as intersected veinlets. Based on field observations, textural and mineralogical evidences, the mineralization occurred in 4 stages. The subvolcanic rocks are affe...

Sub-pixel classification of hydrothermal alteration zones using a kernel-based method and hyperspectral data; A case study of Sarcheshmeh Porphyry Copper Mine and surrounding area, Kerman, Iran

Remote sensing image analysis can be carried out at the per-pixel (hard) and sub-pixel (soft) scales. The former refers to the purity of image pixels, while the latter refers to the mixed spectra resulting from all objects composing of the image pixels. The spectral unmixing methods have been developed to decompose mixed spectra. Data-driven unmixing algorithms utilize the reference data called...

Genesis of the Tang Zagh iron deposit by using mineralogical and geochemical data, Hormozgan province

The Tang Zagh iron deposit is located about 117 km Northeast of Bandar Abbas, Hormozgan Province in the structural folded-thrusted zone of the Zagros basin. Iron mineralization occurs in the form of iron oxides (hematite) within the salt dome and/or in fractures and between the layers of the younger strata with the Tertiary age. Based on the microscopic studies, dolomitic fragments of the host ...
